Condensing Boilers

Condensing boilers offer significantly reduced gas consumption due to their much higher efficiency, and therefore offer running costs approximately 25/30% lower than a conventional boiler.

Furthermore, the technical design of condensing boilers ensures a more complete combustion process leaving fewer harmful gases being exhausted to the environment.

The initial capital cost of a condensing boiler can be higher than a conventional boiler. However, it should be noted that to be operating at optimum efficiency, a condensing boiler should run more frequently than a conventional one, this allows the experienced installer to recommend a smaller sized boiler when quoting for a condensing model, allowing it to operate for more hours and at peak efficiency, rather than over-sizing "just in case". This reduced capital outlay, combined with reduced gas consumption makes a condensing boiler a very attractive financial and environmental investment.
